What is a WBMP File?
The WBMP file is very much similar to a .BMP file, but only supports monochrome (1-bit) image data. It is a black and white bitmap image used by mobile devices for wireless transfers between phones and PDAs, usually transmitted using the SMS messaging protocol.
However, since the technology is advancing rapidly, the WBMP format is becoming obsolete as it is being replaced by full-color images and video formats.
